Just like most people, my 2017 was filled with up's and down's. From having the time of my life visiting family accross the country, to evacuating FL due to hurricane Irma. 2018 is going to be full of new adventures, new face's, and hopefully better weather.
GOING TO FRANCE
In July and August of 2018 I am going to be working in the south of France! This is going to be the highlight of my year. A long-time family friend was kind enough to sponser me so I could work at his family's campground in southern France. Even though it's not Paris, Like most girls dream of, I'm still beyond exited to go to a different country for the first time. The culture, the people, the food! I get so overwhelmed with joy knowing it's going to be my reality in less than a year. The challenge beforehand is learning French...
ACTUALLY COMMITING TO A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION
Working out a minimum of four days a week isn't going to be hard because i've been an athlete my whole life. My body knows I feel a whole lot happier when I am consistently exercising. I plan on purchasing two $15 workout guides at the begginging of the year. Swimming has always been my cup of tea. While I'm in France I won't have access to a 50m pool, so resistance bands are a good alternative. My main goal is to gain my edurance and strength back after taking a year off of swimming. I hope to stay consistant and to maybe even join a gym!
MOVING FOR A JOB...MAYBE
I recently got accepted into an amazing program called Praxis. It gives me the option to move for work when I graduate! They set you up with one of their business partner's and they have a lot of location's in the USA, and a few in Canada. I know they have some business partners here in FL. If I'm given the opportunity to move states, I wouldn't be opposed. I have traveled my whole life and have moved states several times. I love visiting new places and have grown to be very adaptable. Moving without my family is quite nerve racking, my family is my world, and always makes moving fun. Making new friends and starting an entirely new chapter in my life, and on my own is quite scary. However, I know it's going to be worth it.
LAST SUMMER AS A "KID"
I know this title sounds dramatic. Unlike my friends that are going to college and spending their next four summers like "kids", I'm going to be working as hard as I can at a startup company trying to be an "adult". I'm genuinely exited to hit the ground running in my career and to be "in the top 1% of young professionals and debt free."as Praxis states. I'm spending half of my 2018 summer in SD with my family and friends and then the other half in France. It's definitely going to be one of the best summer's I'll ever have.
BLOGGING EVERYDAY
I am going to try to blog everyday in 2018. I hope to look back at this blog at the end of 2018 and see how productive it made me. I'm not sure how I will categorize the content of this blog because I have so many interests. Committing to produce content everday will nevertheless make me busy, and I love staying busy! Blogging for the "12 Days Of Christmas Blogging Challange" so far has given me a glimpse of the work I'm going to have to put in. So let's hope it stays interesting!
