10. Marylin Monroe
I want to hear her story in her own words, she kept a lot of her past in the past. We only know about her childhood based on an accumulation of hear-say stories from the people very close to her. She was an amazing woman, she struggled with depression and only ever wanted to be happy. I often wish she were alive because she deserved better, but then I remember that she wouldn't really be Marylin because she wouldn't be happy. Id want her to be happy.
9. Adolf Hitler
Hear me out, Someone capable of convincing an entire country against a religion is something to think about. How did he go from an aspiring artist to the most feared man in the world at one point? His mother was Jewish, did that have anything to do with his hatred? I have so many questions for him.
8. Audrey Hepburn
She grew up in WW2. She suffered from malnutrition and nearly starved to death. She and her family ate nettles and tulip bulbs when the Nazis liberated her town. She went to ballet school and that soon led to her acting career. She told her story quite a few times and in every candid video of her, she seems like the world didn't owe her anything like a lot of people felt. She spent a lot of her time and money helping starving children, I'd love to talk to her.
7. Vincent Van Gogh
He used to eat yellow paint, you know? He thought it would make him happy. Van Gough actually suffered from a lot of psychotic episodes in his life and tore a piece of his own ear off one time. I read a lot about him growing up because he's my favorite artist. If I could ask him one question it would have to be what he wanted to be when he grew up, he only died in his late thirties. We have different stages in our lives, for all we know he could've wanted to be an architect in his later years. I want to know his journey becoming an artist.
6.Charlie Chaplin
His quotes give me actual goosebumps. He seemed so humble and genuine, it's hard to find such people nowadays. An amazing actor who spread so much laughter, He would be the life of the party if he were at my dinner.
"I always like walking in the rain, so no one can see me crying"-Charlie Chaplin
5.Buster Keaton
The most daring stunt performer of all time. His life is full of insane stories and it would be mind-blowing to have him talk about them. His parents were acrobats and apart of a traveling show, when he was a baby they dropped him from the high-wire and guess who caught him? Harry Houdini! I guess he was such a joy to be around and it would be an honor to meet him. Heres the link to the tumblr post about his stunts that has over one million notes!
4. Meryl Streep
A hard working and iconic actress that never rested on her laurels. To meet her and talk her ear off about how she overcame her lows and stayed humble with her successes in her career. To know what keeps her so motivated and driven.
3.Michael Phelps
Someone I've looked up to all my life. I watched him race on T.V. in the 2004 summer Olympics when I was four, ever since then I wanted to become an Olympic swimmer. Even though that chapter of my life is over and it taught me all that I could take from it like, teamwork, hard work, consistency, and many other values I hold dear. I still would be starstruck to meet someone who influenced my life in the best way possible. I admire his dedication, drive, and knowing when you need to step back and reevaluate whats best for you. "There's no time for big-picture thinking when you're following that black line on the bottom of the pool", I heard him say that when I was going through a rough patch in swimming two years ago and it made me realize that that was my entire life. I woke up, swam for 3hrs, ate, took a nap, did my schoolwork, ate, swam for 3hrs, ate, and went to bed. I wasn't having fun anymore, so what was the point? I didn't quit or give up, I went to find what makes me happy now, and I'm still in that process. He is still my idol, and if I ever had the honor to meet him I would thank him for doing what he loves.
2.God
I mean, what more do I have to say. It's the creator of all mankind and I don't want to die in order to meet him so I would love to have him at dinner.
1. My great-great-grandmother
Yes, I am cheating a little here but she is famous amongst my family. Her older siblings and cousins went to America and left her in Ireland to take of her mother. Her mom passed away and at 16 she hopped on the first ship to America. To hear how that went for her would be pretty cool, especially in her Irish accent! She actually spoke Gaelic and had thirteen children! You would have to have some strong Irish blood to put up with that many kids running around.
