If you have seen someones work and just felt bitter, then find out how it can fuel you to be the best creative person you can be. I idolize someones creative work I use it to my advantage, and you should too.
I look up to so many contents creators, all for different reasons. Sometimes it's the humor, other times I fall in love with how they can be so persuasive that you can't stop reading their article. I find myself feeling envious before I can remember that I can be a great blogger too! Here are the steps I take to becoming a better blogger.
The Style Of Writing
The blog 'Social Triggers' has to be my current favorite blog to get writing inspiration. Derek Halpern is the creator of 'Social Triggers' and has one of the best (in my opinion) compelling posts. When I first started reading blog posts he seemed to be a pro, like he's been writing for 50 years. Do you want to know why? It's because he's tried and failed, he cultivated his trade. Once you know what you're good at like fashion, storytelling, research, or selling product's you cultivate it. Put your own signature on everything, and know that it takes time. I'm only a month into daily blogging and I've learned so much, from making spelling mistakes to putting up posts that I wasn't happy with. I got more comfortable with expressing my humor through my posts.
It looks Like Anna Wintour Designed Their Website
'The Anna Edit' is a blog that I have been going to for years, she cultivated her blog. She was previously called 'Vivianna Does Makeup' and changed her branding, She states that she wanted, "A new name that could act as an umbrella for all the topic I wanted to cover". The layout of her website took time to become everything she had envisioned and she found what she likes, minimalism. The pictures on her blog look vouge worthy. I'm in the middle of getting my own domain and I can't wait to use the aesthetic of her blog as inspiration!
You're Not Anyone But Yourself
Once you stop looking at others blogs as competition and realize you can use them to push yourself to be better, then life gets easier. You have something to offer the blogging community and after a while, it will come to you. And remember that your blog could fall into multiple categories, not just one. If you're on the path to finding out what you want your content to be, make sure to look at your writing as improving. And know that every blog post is a fresh start.
