I Miss The Old Days

My Mom put on Twilight just now and it brought back a lot of good memories, sadly it made me realize that my sister isn't growing up with the same shows and movies as I was so blessed to have. Knew Disney shows don't have "lessons" and the movies have "teams". It's all Youtube and Netflix, not that there's anything wrong with change, it's just that when I step back I realize just how much has changed in my lifetime.
I remember one time in the third grade there was a divided group of girls screaming at each other on the playground dissing either Edward or Jacob like, "What are you gonna do with a boyfriend that cant go to the beach?" and, "Well your boyfriend smells like wet dog!". It was a fun time! Nowadays all the kids are “dabbing away from the haters” what’s the fun in that?
I just feel bad for these kids, the shows had meaning up until around 2011. I learned about friendship, loving family, right from wrong, and so much more being influenced by such great shows and movies. The shows and movies then made me value my individuality, I know I'm being cheesy but I miss those days.
