I Was Wrong

I was corrected the other day when I said my favorite quote, blood is thicker than water, turns out I was saying it wrong. Your favorite quote could have a completely different meaning than you thought.
Blood is thicker than water
The actual quote is lengthier and has a much deeper meaning than before: "The blood from the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." I bet you didn't know that. This means that the blood soldiers shed on the battlefield strengthens their bond more than any family relation. The original quote isn't about familial ties being stronger than friends at all, and I love it even more now.
