The quote I share in today's post is one that popped into my head after the most recent philosophy night at Praxis. I love is for many reasons and I hope it will be added to your list of favorite quotes after this.

“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance”-Confucius

It means that the purest definition of knowledge isn't about retaining an abundance of useful information, knowledge at its core is to acknowledge our faults and stubbornness in order to grow entirely.

No amount of scenarios designed to assess the quality of your morals will be accurate because it's just a guess. You never really know who you are until the test is your reality. And even then, a single day can change your views on the world as you know it. We are constantly changing, heartbreak can make you cold and witnessing hate can create a personal mission to fight injustice. It just depends on who you are.

Do you know the limit of your own self-awareness? Can we look past our ego and accept that we may never fully understand the world or know the answers to the questions it holds? What is the extent our pride can push our ignorance?

I love the questions this quote leave me because I don’t trust a quote intended to help me pursue a better standard of morality, knowledge, and ego that doesn’t make me question myself.
