I would definitely describe myself as a 'movie enthusiast'. I pride myself on giving the best movie recommendations as well because I'm honest and love a wide range of genres. These are the movies that I'm looking forward to seeing this month and will post a review of each listed in a later post.

When We First Met

This romantic comedy is what I am most exited to see this month because I have been binge watching sic-fi shows all week. This movie is released on February 9 on Netflix and stars two of my favorite actors, Adam DeVine and Alexandra Daddario.

“Using a magical photo booth that sends him back in time, Noah relives the night he met Avery over and over, trying to persuade her to fall for him”-Netflix

Lady Bird

Another good movie to refresh my sc-fi loving mind. I saw the trailer for this movie a while ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I wouldn’t categorize this movie as a drama though, I look at it as an over-elaborated coming-of-age tale. She’s young, discovering herself, and figuring out why life is the way it is.

"Anyone who’s lived within the emotional cyclone known as adolescence will recognize the vertiginous highs and lows of “Lady Bird.” Full review Ann Hornaday Washington Post

Jumanji

I remember Jumanji being one of my favorite movie growing up so I hope that the ’new one’ doesn’t taint any of my childhood happiness associated with this movie. I did want to completely disappoint or talk myself out of watching this movie by viewing the full trailer, all I know is that everyone switches bodies. I am really against remakes, I’m just giving this one a chance because Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson is starring in it.

"Very few remakes, sequels or franchise reboots have signaled their desperation to connect quite as nakedly as “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” does." Full review Glenn Kenny The NYTimes
