I started to work out as my new year resolution, it was pretty hard at first but now I feel confident in my technique and I got myself into a proper routine! This will be one of many workout-updates, mostly just to keep me in check.

I purchased an 8-week lower body guide before the new year. I don't want to lose any weight, I don't even own a scale, I just wanted to gain muscle and confidence. I was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years and loved the way working out made me feel! Getting your heart rate up releases oxytocin(The cuddle hormone)and makes you very happy.

I work out 5 days a week, I tend to have more energy in the evenings so I start anytime after 4 pm. My breakfast isn't cereal and milk anymore, instead, I switched to four eggs and any type of fruit I have around. My lunches have been quite boring, consisting of chicken, rice, and veggies. I plan on ordering a protein powder to gain more muscle weight sometime this month to yield better results.

Before I started working out I logged my lower body measurements because I think the scale can be deceiving. Our weight is meant to fluctuate depending on the day and different meals, and somedays we drink more water than others. I much prefer to measure myself to make sure I am working out both sides of my body evenly.

Working out has been really fun and I hope to stay consistent(minus the two days that I had the flu last week)and keeping a record of it every two weeks or so will help me do that.
