Something To Expect When You Start Blogging

I started blogging on a whim about two months ago, I got an email from Issac Morehouse challenging everyone to do the "12 Day's Of Blogging Challenge". I never knew anything about blogging beforehand, and my views on it completely changed once I began.

I thought of stay at home moms who love to recreate Pinterest recipes and I thought of people who review Anime(which was one of my first blog posts). When I think of blogging now I think of creative pursuits, commitment, and I definitely think of the tight-knit blogging community. Blogging will challenge you and better your life in ways I never thought to expect. You're going to have highs and lows, but as long as you stick to it your ego will grow and at the same time be humble.

You become humble when you blog and are apart of the community because you see all these people on day 80+ of blogging and you know how hard it is on day 10. You literally "know the struggle" and can respect their victories. T.K. Coleman believes that a daily activity that takes thirty-seconds is harder to stick to than a three or even eight-hour activity in just one day, and I completely agree.

One of the biggest things you learn and should expect is creating a post your proud of and it not getting a lot of views. Some of my favorite blog posts I've written have only one view, and it was my mom. Learning to create for yourself is really important, and to love everything you create is even more important. Not all your posts are going to be popular, some of them are going to be just for you and there's nothing wrong with that.
