Things To Know Before Owning A Ferret

My sister got a ferret for Christmas this year. past the cuteness and everlasting cuddles, there is a lot more to this little guy. So if you plan on getting a ferret there are some things you need to know.

They Are Smelly...

  I heard that ferrets have a distinct scent even after being de-scented, but I wasn't expecting it to be so "In your face". Be prepared for the smell but don't be surprised when you look past it because of their cuteness.

They Play Tug-Of-War Like A Dog

  Today was the worst of it! The past week we fought him for phone cord's, paperwork, and food. Today he got a hold of an instant CoCo pack and would not let go. After a whole minute of tugging back and forth, my sister blew air in his face and he let go! he was so offended and it was the funniest thing to see.

Jumping Off The Walls!

  Our little ferret is so daring, today he jumped off the couch onto a box. I've seen videos of ferrets when their older and how they are so hyper but I wasn't expecting him to be such a daredevil. If you plan on getting one, expect them to jump out of your hands just for the fun of it!
