These are the questions I get asked all the time because I’m homeschooled, I don’t doubt that I missed some though. Being homeschooled is amazing and I will defend my love for it until the day I die.
Q1: How do you do science experiments?
A1: We can buy the same equipment as schools do.
Q2: What about prom and homecoming?
A2: There are homeschooling groups that set up homecomings and proms that I can attend.
Q3: What are you doing out of school? *When I'm out in town before 3:30 p.m*
A3: I finished my schoolwork early, I'm homeschooled.
Q4: Who grades your papers?
A4: My Mom grades my work.
Q5: Is your mom qualified to teach you?
A5: You don't actually need to be qualified to teach your kids at home.
Q6: What about P.E.?
A6: I work out for about an hour and a half every day at home, and I go for a mile long walk every day. Before I started working out at home I spent 60 hours a week in competitive swimming for six years.
Q7: Don't you get bored?
A7: Yeah, not as bored as when I was in public school. When I get bored I read a book, go for a walk, or FaceTime a friend.
Q8: How do you meet people?
A8: I have friends that introduce me to theirs, I attend seminars, there are homeschoolers that get together all the time in my area.
Q9: Do you get up and get dressed in the morning?
A9: To be honest, No. If I don't plan on going anywhere I will just spend all day in my pajamas until I change into my workout gear.
Q10: Can you cheat on your tests to get the A's you have?
A10: No, my Mom would never let me get away with that.
